ST Sport Springs
The wide range of springs from ST suspensions is one of the few lowering springs on the market with over 1,000 applications that improve a vehicle’s handling in combination with the stock suspension. In addition to an attractive lowering, the ST suspensions sport springs allow for increased cornering speed and dynamic driving.
Great looks for every car
Manufactured in OEM quality from chrome-silicon steel using a cold winding process, ST suspensions sport springs are multi-tempered and feature a final epoxy coating. This makes them resistant to all kinds of weather conditions. Depending on the vehicle model, ST suspensions sport springs enable subtle lowerings such as 20 mm at the front and 15 mm at the drive axle on the current BMW M3 (E9x series), an appealing 30 mm at both axles on the Audi A1, or up to 60 mm on the VW Golf I. When installing ST suspensions sport springs, not only is the vehicle’s center of gravity lowered compared to the stock suspension, but driving dynamics also benefit. During sharp steering movements, such as evasive maneuvers and fast cornering, body roll is reduced due to less roll inclination, resulting in less body movement. Furthermore, compression and rebound are reduced, making the driving behavior more agile.
The ideal spring rate for every lowering
The spring rates of ST suspensions sport springs are perfectly matched to the tuning of the stock dampers. After all, ST suspensions sport springs, in conjunction with the respective vehicle weight, wheel loads, and the intended lowering level, have a major influence on the compression and rebound behavior of the stock suspension. Made from chrome-silicon steel, ST suspensions sport springs not only support the vehicle weight but also guarantee a more direct driving experience thanks to specially tuned spring rates. Depending on the level of lowering, for example with a reduction of the center of gravity by 20 mm, 30 mm, or 40 mm, ST suspensions sport springs have different spring rates that harmonize with the stock dampers. The greater the amount of lowering, the higher the spring rate.
Wide variety, not just for tuning enthusiasts
ST suspensions sport springs are available not only for current vehicles and new cars such as the Audi A7 Sportback or Mercedes-Benz E-Class and others. Enthusiasts of timeless models such as the BMW E30 or VW Golf I will also find the ideal sport springs in the ST suspensions product range. Even for unusual vehicles, TÜV-tested ST suspensions sport springs are available. Currently, the range of sport springs includes around 1,000 applications for 30 different automotive brands, from Alfa Romeo to Volvo.
